"Christmas Vacation" (1989)
The Griswold family has yet another family adventure from hell and this movie has all the clichés. Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) desperately wants to have the greatest Christmas ever and hosts his extended dysfunctional and quirky family in an attempt to share the holiday spirit. He expends considerable effort on the Christmas lighting for his house but can't seem to get it to work. As he desperately tries to get the lights working, his wife's (Beverly DAngelo) idiot cousin Eddy (Randy Quaid) and his bizarre family -- including their pet dog, Snots -- show up uninvited and unexpected. Things go from bad to worse in a hurry. Clark's secret Christmas present to the family is a swimming pool which he intends to pay for using his Christmas bonus from his employer but he's financially overextended because he had to put down a huge deposit. When the bonus turns out not to be the financial blessing he expected, the stress becomes too much and he goes nuts (and gives us one of the all-time classic movie monologues).
OUR FIRST CHRISTMAS TOGETHER...
Wow! What a great time of year! We had so much fun sharing the season with our families and eachother!
Our Christmas started with us driving to colorado springs on the 23rd. We stayed there on Christmas eve. Christmas eve morning I headed to the mall... not for last minute shopping but to get myself a new hairstyle. That day we hung out, made sugar cookies, and all kinds of fun christmas eve things. Including watching fun christmas movies all day. We woke up christmas morning and did presents with my family. Then we got ready and headed to Aurora to be with Brandon's family. I am so thankful for the love and support we get from both sides(brandon & mine) we have such a good time when we visit both.
When we got to the Trekells, we opened some more gifts and had a nice relaxing day. Later we played PIT it was so much fun!! Then we had a DELICIOUS dinner. Sadly we had to head back to fort collins that night because we both had work the next day.
I am so glad to be able to be with a wonderful man and to share my life with him. OUr first christmas was great and I look forward to many more together and one day starting our own family and sharing these exoeriances with them.
I am thankful for the birth of our savior and all he did for us... we love and miss you all!
Here are some pictures from the time we spent with my family I will add some from when we were with the Trekells as soon as I get them.

We watch CV at least 3 times a season, plus we watch it in the summer at least once. Our Rock Band (xbox) band's name is "Cousin Eddy"!
